We do not recommend any batteries higher than 6000 mAh however.

Tactical is a general term that can be applied to flashlights, headlamps, backpacks, and many other items. Applications of these items are generally focused on law-enforcement and/or self defense. There are three primary attributes that qualify Eagle Beam products as “tactical”. The first is the ability to produce a flashing strobe light. The second is the military-grade aircraft aluminum construction. And the third is the ability to attach to guns, and be useful in tactical, military, law enforcement, and self defense situations.

All lithium-ion batteries will decay slowly over time, while alkaline batteries do not. For extended storage without much periodic use, we typically recommend using Eagle Beam products with alkaline batteries. In general lithium battery powered products should be taken out of storage and charged every 4-6 months. See the Eagle Beam product tutorial videos for more specific information on each rechargeable model and their respective charge and de-load times.
Eagle Beam offers a variety of products, some with non-rechargeable alkaline batteries, some with rechargeable lithium batteries, and even some with no batteries at all. Each rechargeable product is different in method and time for its recharge. Check out our tutorial videos for more information on recharging Eagle Beam flashlights in our Videos section.
LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. It’s part of what makes Eagle Beam products so great! Unlike traditional bulbs, LED’s are super bright, super efficient, and super long-lasting. All Eagle Beam products use American-made CREE LED’s and are guaranteed to last a lifetime.
Color lens filters provide the ability to change (filter) the color of the light produced by Eagle Beam products. There are numerous applications where this can be useful. Most game animals do not see red or green in their visible light spectrum. This allows hunters and nature enthusiasts to see animals without being seen and without disturbing them in their natural habitat. Blue light is most commonly used to make blood more visible – useful primarily to hunters and law enforcement personnel. Red light can also illuminate without ruining night vision. This is highly useful for tactical situations, star-gazing, and preventing self blinding on marine, auto, and other reflective surfaces.
